Collection of works by Daniel Bruson ANIMATION DIRECTOR & GRAPHIC ARTIST ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬




Choreographer and dancer Anderson Gouvea invited me to create these animations for his solo dance performance Farmácia, an incursion in the relationship between pharmacology and the velocities of our body, based on the works of british artist Damien Hirst. The show received the award for Best Dance Performance in the 16th Cultura Inglesa Festival, 2012.

Most of the animations were projected onstage in sync with the dancer’s movement, but there was a moment of a sort of animation solo, when the dancer layed low an let the projection stand out. That’s what you can see above.

It was an whole new experience for me, to create these animations and have them projected on stage and on the dancer’s body. Below are some frames extracted from the animations:
